Lucia (Fascianelli) DiCicco, 79, of Shrewsbury, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 surrounded by her family. Her devoted husband of thirty-nine years, Dr. John P. DiCicco, Jr., predeceased her in 2009.
Lucia is survived by her loving family, including a son, John M. DiCicco and his wife Claire of Worcester; two daughters, Vanessa DiCicco and Rosa DiCicco, both of Shrewsbury; a sister, Maria of Rome, Italy; a grandson, Mateo DiCicco; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six siblings, Gina, Antonio, Mario, Carlo, Remo, and Cesare. Lucia was born in Rome, Italy, daughter of the late Orlando and Rosa (Faustini) Fascianelli. Before her husband whisked her away to the United States, Lucia was a fashion designer in Rome.
Lucia loved traveling with her husband and spending summer vacations with her family in Provincetown. Always the life of the party, she most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends – sharing her love, laughter and joy for life. Lucia enjoyed attending Mass at her Parish Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Our Lady of Loreto Church.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 2, from 4 pm until 7 pm at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 3, at 11 am at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester.
