It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Louise (Waldeck) Flowers, 83, of Worcester, on Monday, June 15, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved wife of the late Larry E. Flowers, Sr.
Born October 6, 1942, in Coventry, RI., Louise was the daughter of the late William S. and Rose Alma (Trudeau) Waldeck. She was raised in Coventry, and grew up on Lake Tiogue. She would love to tell stories to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren about growing up on the lake. She attended St. Vincent DePaul Schools.
She worked for many years at Friendly’s in White City and also was a home health aide throughout the Worcester Area. She was a devoted wife and devoted to caring for her children but especially for Vicki. She was very involved in Vicki’s life with many Special Olympics events over the years and watching the Boston Red Sox with her.
Louise is survived by her devoted children, Larry E. Flowers, Jr. and his wife Sandy(Kaohimaunu) of Worcester, Pam Soucie of Leicester, and Vicki Flowers of Worcester; her loving grandchildren, Kris, Kevin, Jennifer, and Bradley; her adored great-grandchildren, Jacob, Josh, Kevin, Boston, Pierce, Xavier, Laua’eiiniokanaau, and Alaula; her cherished brother, Henry Waldeck; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sadly, in addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Louise was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Larry E Flowers Sr and her older brother, William Waldeck, Jr. We will miss Louise immensely but her warm heart and love for us will live forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Gathering will be held for Louise on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 am until her Memorial Service at 10:30 am in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Louise’s memory to Wounded Warriors or Special Olympics.
