Lois (Borbone) Pepper, 84, of Millbury, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on March 21, 2026, after a short illness.
Lois lived a life full of warmth, humor, and deep connection to those around her. Though just 4’6”, she was truly a powerhouse of personality—funny, caring, and loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. A devout Catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish for over 60 years.
She was educated at St. Stephen’s School and later graduated from Salter Secretarial School. Lois spent much of her career as a medical secretary, working for several physicians. She also devoted many years to the radiology departments at Vernon Medical and St. Vincent Radiology Associates.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Theresa (O’Neil) Borbone.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Maria, and her husband Frank, and her cherished granddaughter Kalie, of whom she was immensely proud.
Anyone who knew Lois knew of her deep love for Elvis Presley. She found great joy in Elvis-themed cruises, trips to Graceland, and attending festivals and tribute contests. One of her greatest delights was seeing Dan Fontaine and the Memphis Sun Mafia perform—something she did every chance she could.
Lois loved to travel and experience life. She enjoyed bus trips to New York City, visits to Hampton Beach, and attending plays in Ogunquit, Boston, and Worcester. Her enthusiasm for life and the memories she created with her family will be treasured always.
Lois was a longtime member of the Millbury Senior Center, where she enjoyed time with friends and being part of her community.
Lois was a big sports fan and always rooted for the home team—from the Worcester IceCats and Boston Bruins to the Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots. There was almost always a game on, and she loved cheering them on.
Lois will be remembered for her loving heart, vibrant spirit, and the joy she brought to so many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass will be held in her honor on Saturday, May 9th at 11 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street, Worcester.
