Lisa M. (Hosegood) Carelli, 60, a life-long resident of Worcester, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Friday, October 10th 2025. Lisa is reunited in heaven with the “love of her Life” and husband of 24 years Robert P. Carelli who passed away in 2019.
Lisa was born, raised and educated in Worcester. She was one of two daughters of Richard and Lorraine (Charbonneau) Hosegood. Lisa graduated from St Peter-Marian High School and earned her associated degree in cooking from Cape Cod Community College. Lisa then began of cooking delicious dishes and delicacies for various kitchens including, Assumption College, Clark University and Crown Bakery.
Lisa is survived by the two sons she adored, Anthony R. Carelli and Benjamin T Carelli both of Worcester; a sister, Cheryl Kowalczyk of Ware; two brothers in law, Arthur F. Carelli and his wife Kathy of Worcester, Richard J. Carelli and his wife Diana of Hubbardston; six nephews, Kyle, Christopher, Andrew, Adam, Tyler, and Alexander; three great nieces, Olivia, Madeline, and Oaklee; and great nephew Matteo, Extended family members and many friends.
Lisa was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Lisa and Robert were inseparable, they were Harley Davidson enthusiasts and loved the peace of riding on a bright sunny day. She also loved working in her yard, camping with family at Salisbury Beach, arts and crafts and especially creating her signature dishes in her Kitchen. Notably, the best of times were those spent at Lisa’s home when she was cooking. Her meals were legendary. She along with Robert were generous, kind, and fun loving. They made friends with ease, and truly found their happiest moment together with their family, and countless good times with family during the holidays and special occasions.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Wednesday, October 15th 2025, 10:30 am to 12 noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. before proceeding in procession to Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St where her celebration of Christian Burial Mass will be held at 12:30 pm. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Way, Memphis, TN, www.stjude.org/donate
