Lillian (Daniels) DiLeo

Lillian U. (Daniels) DiLeo, 90, a of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Christopher House.

Lillian was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Adam and Hedwig (Grecianskus) Daniels. A lifelong resident of Worcester, Lillian attended St. Casimir Catholic School, Grafton St. Junior High School, then Elizabeth Allis Hairdressing School. Later in life, she graduated from Doherty High School. Lillian worked at Widoff’s Bakery, PJ’s Hair Salon, and finished her career at the UMass Medical School where she worked as an Accounting Clerk.

Lillian was married for 51 years to the late Nicholas V. DiLeo, who died in 2009. She is survived by a daughter, Tina DiLeo of Worcester; a son, Nicholas DiLeo and his wife, Janet, of North Carolina; a son-in-law, Denis Duberger of Bourne; two grandchildren, Peter DiLeo of South Carolina and Jennifer Myles and her husband, Rob, of Georgia; a great-granddaughter, Juliet Myles of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Nicholas, a son, Paul DiLeo; brother, Edward Daniels; and sisters, Rita Suffill and Virginia Dubickas, predeceased her.

Lillian loved being outdoors, and spent countless hours cultivating her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed spending time reading and at the beach, watching and listening to the waves. She was an accomplished artist, and her family cherishes the many oil paintings and stained glass pieces she left behind to be enjoyed.

All are welcome to gather with Lillian’s family on Thursday, October 1st from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, Burial alongside her husband at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, MA, will follow. The family would like to thank both Christopher House and Gentiva Hospice for the kind care and support they provided to Lillian in her final days.
