Leo John Rossi 78, of Worcester, passed away, Tuesday, January 20th 2026 with loved ones gathered at his side. Leo is welcomed in heaven by his son Chad Rossi who passed away in 2018.

Born in Worcester, Leo was the son of the late Leo and Edith (Besse) Rossi. He grew up in Shrewsbury attended Shrewsbury High School. In 1967, Leo was drafted into the U.S. Army during Vietnam, serving two tours and earning the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in battle. He then worked as an independent area distributor for Arnold Bread company before retiring.

Leo leaves behind his wife Jeanne (Dumas) Rossi, a daughter Jennifer O’Loughlin and her husband Steven of Charlton; His loving sister Michele Balcunas and her husband John of Auburn, two brothers. Ronald Rossi and his wife Linda of Worcester, Michael Rossi and his wife Andrea of California: 5 grandchildren and a great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and son Chad, his brother Joseph Rossi and sister Gloria Barbieri also predeceased him.

Dad was an avid fisherman with many “fish stories” as well as an avid “card shark” where no one’s money was safe. He lived his life his way and the “rounds” were always on him! GO PATS! was his favorite saying as he enjoyed every game!

The Rossi family would like to thank, Mohamed Dad’s friend and caretaker, for the care comfort and compassion he gave to Leo.

Funeral services and burial with military honors in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton will be held privately. Memorial contributions in his name can be made to Vets Inc, 60 Grove Street Worcester, MA 01608 The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
