Laura Ann (Ventura) Zukowski, 94, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Jewish Healthcare Center. She is reunited in Heaven with her children, John A. Errara who died in 2004 and Laura Errara who died in 1960.
Laura is survived by a son, James A. Errara and his wife Deborah of Charlton; a daughter, Laura Passamonti of Worcester; her beloved sister, Marjorie Mielnicki of East Douglas; six grandchildren, Anthony Errara, Dominic Errara and his fiancé Noelle, Andrea Errara, Cody Petraitis, Sarah Stenlund and her husband Eric, and Ryan Passamonti; four great grandchildren, Paisley, Violet Rose, Noah, and Irie; many nieces and nephews. Laura was pre-deceased by six siblings, Vito Ventura, Anna Todisco, Rose Pucci, Mary DeToma, Grace DeMaria, and Clara Ventura. Laura was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Mauro and Laura (Ferrante) Ventura, and has lived here all her life.
Laura worked for many years in the cafeteria and food service division at Saint Vincent Hospital, before retiring in 1994. She was a communicant at Our Lady of Loreto Church. She enjoyed watching television, word puzzles, and joining friends for breakfast and lunch. She loved her family immensely and will be remembered for the joy she brought to them.
Calling Hours will be on Monday, October 6, from 8:30 am until 10:15 am in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, with a procession departing at 10:45 am enroute to an 11 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester. Interment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
