Lawrence “Larry” M. LaChance, 66, of Grafton, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, in the comfort of his home.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years, Sandra J. (Bonin) LaChance; their daughter, Melissa R. Aiksnoras and her husband James, and their children, Ava and Austin; a brother, Michael LaChance of Auburn; a sister Patricia Boucher of Worcester; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister, Kenneth LaChance, and Donna LaChance. Larry was born in Waterville, Maine, son of the late Wilfred and Carmen (Pleau) LaChance. He graduated from Millbury High School and attended WPI.
Larry worked as a Certified Leasing Professional and was the owner and founder of Bankers Capital a division of LaChance Financial Services. He was a member of Saint Mary’s Parish in Grafton and served on the Board of Directors of the former Grafton Credit Union. He belonged to many professional associations and organizations including, AACFB, NEFA, Corridor Nine Chamber Regional of Commerce, and served as a Board Member for CLFP, The Custom House in Boston, and Marlborough Chamber of Commerce.
Calling Hours will be on Tuesday, February 7, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral will be on Wednesday, February 8, beginning at the funeral home and departing at 10:30 a.m. in procession to an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Saint Mary’s Church, 17 Waterville Street, North Grafton. Interment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
