Kenneth E. Favreau Sr., 84, of Lake Wales, Florida and Auburn, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on April 6th at Advent Hospital Celebration in Kissimmee, FL, surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 40 years, Carolyn M. (Mulcahy) Favreau in 2002. He leaves three sons- Kenneth E. Favreau Jr. (Sally) of Rutland, Kevin J. Favreau (Terri) of Millbury, Paul J. Favreau (Tabby) of Brattleboro, VT, and his daughter Karen M. Vail (Tom) of Auburn. He leaves eleven loving grandchildren Steve, Dan, Melissa, Sam, Kristi, Joe, Brittany, Courtney, Hayleigh, Alex, and Erika; seven loving great- grandchildren, Anthony, Evan, Cam, Mac, Tadhg, Isla, and Sophie; sister Patricia Favreau O’Connell; sister-in-law Dorothy Favreau; his companion Rosemary Lanier; many sister-in laws, brother- in laws, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers Donald Favreau and Armand Favreau Jr.
Ken was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, son of the late Armand Favreau Sr. and his late mother Antoinette (Paulaskaus) Favreau. He lived most of his life in Worcester. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He worked at J.J. Nissen for 39 years. He was a member of Saint Matthews Church in Florida and a former longtime member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, Worcester. Above all else, he enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to play golf with his family and many friends in Lake Wales, FL.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A funeral mass will be held on Friday April 17, 2026 at 10:00am in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester with a procession departing from the funeral home to church. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
