Kathy Ann Loverro, 66, a lifelong resident of Worcester passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 19, 2026, after a period of declining health.

Kathy was born in Worcester, son of the late Albert and Irene (Jason) Loverro and has lived here all her life. Kathy worked for more than 20 years for the Worcester State Hospital before retiring. She also worked for the Parkway Diner.

Kathy is survived by her sister-in-law with whom she lived, Elizabeth Loverro, a brother, Anthony Loverro of Worcester; two sisters, Joanne Quitadamo, and Lucy Loverro both of Millbury; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, two brothers, Albert and Michael Loverro, a sister, Lisa Mongeau and her two best friends, her cats.

Kathy loved the beaches of Revere and Hampton beach in the summers, crossword puzzles, crafts, painting, watching TV, her Cats, and was a huge Elvis Fan. The best moments in Kathy’s life were those spent with and around family. The holidays, special occasions, family dinners or anytime they were together are the remembered times.

A period of calling hours will be held Thursday, March 26th from 9 am to 10:30 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, followed by a precession to Our Lady of Providence, St Bernards Church, 228 Lincoln Street where her Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorial remembrances in her name can be made to Our Lady of Providence Food Pantry, 236 Lincoln Street. Worcester.
