June Turner

June (Erickson) Turner, 80, of Chatham, MA formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the beloved wife of Douglas Turner for 60 years. June also leaves two daughters, Karen Todd of Spencer, MA and Lisa Kamyk and her husband, David of Worcester, MA along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, MA, daughter of the late Elmer and Jane (Gentilesco) Erickson.

June graduated from Venerini Academy in Worcester, MA. Following graduation, she worked at Paul Revere Insurance Company before moving to Chatham, where her husband, Douglas, would open his art gallery. June worked alongside Douglas in the art gallery.

June was an exceptional cook and enjoyed cooking for her family, most especially over the holidays. She enjoyed traveling, and her favorite destination was Maine. She also liked the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.

Friends and family are invited to attend a calling hour on Wednesday, November 9 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. June’s memorial service will be held following the calling hour at 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
