June R. (Chapdelaine) Gothing, 89, of Boylston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

June was born and raised in Grafton, a daughter of the late Adrian and Leonie (Normandin) Chapdelaine.  She was a long-time resident of Boylston where she was a member of the First Congregational Church. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she enjoyed reading, counted cross stitch, crocheting, needlepoint, and vacationing to Wells, Maine beaches.

June’s husband of 67 years, Frederick C. Gothing, passed away on April 5, 2022.  She is survived by her children, Kenneth Gothing (Siony), Gary Gothing (Jacqueline), Diane Jepson, and Eric Gothing (Susan); 11 grandchildren: Jason Gothing, Pamela Kent (Nathan), Sarah, Chanae, Shana and Chiann Gothing, Erin Ruiz, Amy Duhamel (David), Grant Gothing (Lindsay), Kathleen Brunelle (Nick), and Matthew Jepson, as well as 6 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Mila, Anthony, William, Veronica and Natalie; a brother, Robert Forgette (Diane); many nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a son, Frederick C. Gothing, Jr. in 2013; a brother, Alfred “Sonny” Chapdelaine and two sisters, Alice St. Jean and Joan Wiley.

Services for June were held privately.  MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
