Judith A. (Helie) McCarthy

Judith A. (Helie) McCarthy, 81, of Grafton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Born in Worcester on August 29, 1943, to Joseph and Norma (Provost) Helie. Raised in Worcester, Judith was a graduate of North High. Judith worked as a cashier at Mohegan Suns for many years. She was a true people person, a natural social butterfly. Judith loved to dance and listen to music, especially Elvis Presley. She was the light in a dark room. Judith found joy in shopping and was a fashionista at heart.

Renowned for her kind heart, loving and bubbly self, Judith cherished nothing in life more than her family. She was very family oriented, and all who knew her will miss her dearly.

Judith is survived by her loving son, Francis E. Morin, II; her adored siblings, Kathleen R. Damato and her husband William and Karen N. McCarthy and her husband Edward; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Judith was predeceased by her beloved son, Scott A. Morin; her cherished siblings, Paula Gerardi, Janet Lee Lucey, and Joseph A. Helie, Jr.

A period of Calling Hours will be held Monday, May 19, 2025, from 4:00pm until her funeral service beginning at 6:00pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judith’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
