Joseph D. Polli

Joseph D. Polli, 46 of Worcester, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Friday, April 7, 2023.

Joey is survived by his parents, Joseph F. Polli and Diane E. (D’Errico) Polli of Worcester; his sister, Deanna Polli Foster and her husband James Foster of Leominster; his maternal grandmother, Mary D’Errico of Worcester and his aunts and uncles, RoseMarie Parker and her husband Whitney, Brenda Polli-Moore and her husband James; Donna D’Errico who is also his godmother, Sandra DiRoberto and her husband Joe, Justine DeNorscia and her husband Kevin, Daniel D’Errico and his wife Jodi. Joey was also predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Daniel D’Errico and his paternal grandparents, Francis “Sonny” and Mary L. (Lamarache) Polli. He also leaves many cousins and close friends. 

Joey was born in Worcester where he attended local school, graduating from North High School, Class of 1994.  He later graduated from Quinsigamond Community College where he received his associate degree and also attended classes at Worcester State University. Joey worked as a field technician for Yankee Engineering and Testing but most recently for Polar Beverages.  In his youth he was very involved in sports at Jack Barry Little League and Worcester Youth Football.  Joey had a great love for his family, holiday gatherings, New England Sports Teams especially the Patriots and Red Sox and loved the ocean.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  Services for Joey will be held on Friday, April 14^th with a procession from the funeral home to St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon.  Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.  Because Joey was a cancer survivor, his family has asked that you make donations in his name to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Suite 120, Boston, MA. 02215
