Listen to Obituary

It is with a heavy heart we announce the unexpected passing of Joseph Andrew Golinski, 45, of Worcester, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Worcester.

Born in Worcester on September 11, 1979, Joe was the son of Eileen N. (McGrath) Bernier and Joseph J. Golinski and his wife Mary.

Joe truly loved his family. He loved supporting the boys and Nicole and looked forward to watching them play volleyball, football and run track. He could be found any weekend at a game, meet or jiujitsu competition. He loved telling people he was the Beauty to Nicoles Beast. If he wasn’t at an event, he was in the yard leaf blowing or finding more space for the shrubs and trees he would bring home. He was an avid gym rat, nicknamed the Mountain, and enjoyed teaching classes at Committed Fitness, but usually came up with his own ideas after Nicole left. You couldn’t miss Joe driving around the city in his truck Big Blue Sully, which he always dreamed of fixing up and putting in a car show. He loved fishing, especially with his son, anything water related and of course, nachos and put peanut butter on everything. Joe was one of the most caring, thoughtful and generous people around. He would literally give you the shirt off his back, even if it was just to show off his guns. He was just one of those guys. To know him was to love him, he was the life of the party, and never just said “Have a good day’ it was always “Have Fun!”. He was truly loved, will be missed greatly, and life will not be the same without him. There are no words that can capture how much Joe will be missed.

In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 5 years, Nicole (Powers) Shattuck of Worcester; his loving children, Damian Manuel Constantine Rodriguez, Jordan Joan Golinski and his loving stepchildren Logan Pug Shattuck and Dylan John Shattuck; his cherished siblings, Tracy Aguiar and her husband Kyle Aguiar, and Shane Bernier; stepbrothers, Michael Boisseau, Timothy Boisseau and Jason Boisseau; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A period of Calling Hours will be held for Joe on Thursday, May 8, 2025, in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, from 4:00p.m. until his Memorial Service begins at 6:00p.m.

There will be a Bereavement Meal at the VFW in Millbury, 16 S Main Street, Millbury, MA 01527.
