John A. Erickson, Jr., or Jack to all who knew him, passed away December 17, 2025. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to John A. and Doris Erickson, the younger brother of Linda (Erickson) St. Pierre.
He would go on to graduate from North High School, where he was an avid athlete, most especially in basketball and hockey, and where he forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. He followed high school at Cambridge School of Business in Boston where he joined a fraternity and forged friendships with his brothers that have withstood the test of time and helped instill values that have been passed down for generations. Professionally, he worked at Kelly Services, where he met his first wife Nancy and daughter Melanie. He spent the majority of his career as the General Manager at L & R Manufacturing in Worcester.
Jack was an avid golfer, playing multiple times a week and all over New England and the country—though his heart was always at Wachusett Country Club where he developed amazing relationships with friends and couples. He enjoyed not only golfing solo, but also with his wife Cynthia (Nystrom) Erickson with whom he shared more than 40 years of marriage and time on the greens in the couples league. He had a record for the longest drive at Wachusett Country Club and was once in the Guiness Book of World Records, together with his friends, for the fastest round of golf. After retirement, Jack also stepped into one of his most cherished roles, that of proud grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia as well as his daughters Shawna (Erickson) Florio and her husband Raffaele and his children Raffaele and Savella and Brooke (Erickson) Mignogna and husband Louis and their children Barron and Owen. He is also survived by his beloved sister Linda (Erickson) St. Pierre as well as cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jack is predeceased by his parents Doris and John Erickson, Sr.
The family would like to thank Melissa Minor for her care, compassion and dedication.
