Joel R. Cormier

Joel R. Cormier, 53 of Worcester, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family and friends by his side on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

Joel was born on August 7, 1969 in Worcester and he was a graduate of Worcester Technical High School.  Joel worked as a manager for Central Auto Works for many years and previously as a manager for Pat’s Service Center. Joel enjoyed riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, was an avid gun enthusiast, a foodie and loved wheeling in his Jeep.

Joel is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca L. (Genest) Cormier; three sons, Joseph Cormier of Worcester, Brenden Picard of Puerto Rico, and Connor Picard of Worcester; his mother, Carol (Wilcox) Cormier of Worcester; a sister, Judi Cormier-Harrington and her husband Matthew of Spencer; a niece, Nikki Harrington of San Diego; his fur babies, Jax and Chloe; many close friends and extended family.  Joel was predeceased by his father, Irving Cormier in 2015.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 4-7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  His funeral service and burial will be held privately.
