Joanne N. (DeSalvio) Sherman

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Joanne N. (DeSalvio) Sherman, 90, of Leicester, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in her home with her son by her side.

Born April 4, 1936, in Worcester, Joanne was the daughter of the late Michael and Grace (Abatantuano) DeSalvio. She grew up in Shrewsbury and attended Shrewsbury High School. Joanne loved to travel, especially with George on private planes, but above all she loved her family.

We will miss Joanne immensely but her warm heart and love for us will live forever in our hearts.

Joanne is survived by her devoted son, Jonathan Sherman of Leicester; her adored grandchildren, Katelyn, Jennifer and her family, Angela, Matthew, Nicole, and Jessica and her children, Bryce, Emma, Isabella, and Arianna; and many nieces and nephews.

Sadly, in addition to her parents and beloved husband Joanne was predeceased by her brothers, George, Joseph, Lawrence, and Matthew DeSalvio; and her sisters, Marie, Patricia, Anna, and Laura DeSalvio.

Calling hours will be held for Joanne on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 4:00pm until her Funeral Service starting at 6:00pm, all in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Flowers are welcome.
