Jesus Galvis, 80 of Cherry Valley, passed away suddenly Saturday August 16th 2025 while doing something he loved fishing with family.
Jesus Ramon Galvis was a man whose heart knew no boundaries, whose smile could light up a room, and whose presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew him. Born with a natural warmth and an unshakable work ethic, he spent his life not just building a future for himself, but lifting others with him along the way.
Together with his beloved wife Rosa Moreno, Jesus built a beautiful and large family. Their love gave life to eight incredible children: Ana Marilyn, Maria, Henry, Jesus, Eneria, Yris, Iraima, and Jose. Each of them carried within them a piece of their father’s spirit his patience, strength, and boundless love.
Jesus Ramon was more than a father he was a rock, a guide, a friend. To his many grandchildren, he was affectionately known as “Papa,” a title that held deep meaning. He wasn’t just a grandfather he was a second father to them all. Whether it was with a gentle word, a warm embrace, or simply being present, Papa had a way of making every child feel safe, seen, and loved.
For many years, Jesus worked as a transportation driver, dedicating his days to helping others get where they needed to go. But his job was more than just a way to earn a living it was a calling. With every ride, he offered not just a seat in his vehicle, but a smile, a kind word, and a spirit of generosity that left a lasting mark on countless hearts. Strangers became friends, and friends became family.
He lived a life full of rich experiences, joyfully traveling between Venezuela and the United States, the two places he called home. These journeys filled him with happiness, allowing him to stay close to the people he loved most, no matter the distance. Wherever he was, Jesus Ramon carried love, laughter, and peace with him. He was loved by everyone who had the honor to know him. His kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to his family created a legacy that will live on for generations. Jesus Ramon Galvis didn’t just live a good life he lived a meaningful one, touching hearts and leaving behind a trail of love that will never fade.
Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit remains echoing in the laughter of his grandchildren, in the memories of those morning chats, in the warmth of family dinners, and in every story told about “Papa.” He was, and always will be, the soul of his family.
