Listen to Obituary

With deep love and remembrance, we honor the life of Jerrold (Jerry) Craig Catino, 52, who passed away on January 26, 2026, in Worcester, Massachusetts. Born on November 15, 1973, Jerry’s life was one of deep feeling, resilience, and meaningful connection.

Jerry was a devoted partner and friend, and a deeply cherished soul to all who knew him. He carried himself with strength and kindness and left an imprint on everyone fortunate enough to walk beside him.

Jerry loved his son, Christopher, deeply. In one of the most difficult choices of his life, he stepped away in order to protect his son from the impact of his own struggles — a decision rooted not in absence, but in love and sacrifice.

He shared a profound and enduring love with Rachel, who stood by his side with unwavering devotion, compassion, and grace. Their bond was marked by loyalty, tenderness, and a deep understanding that carried them through life’s hardest seasons and will forever live on in memory.

Jerry found his greatest support, strength, and sense of belonging in the friends and chosen family who loved him without condition and stood beside him through every chapter of his life.

Jerry was preceded in death by his biological Parents Jerrold Davidson and Arelene Williams and adoptive parents Emilio and Marilyn Catino.

He is survived by his beloved son, Christopher VanBlaricum (Makayla Demorest); his Grandson Rylan Christopher VanBlaricum, his partner, Rachel Wixted; Jessica VanBlaricum-Miller (Anthony Miller), mother of his son and with whom he shared a unique and enduring bond; his siblings, Fran Esteves, Brian Catino, Ken Catino, Jeff Catino, Shannon Catino, Tommy Catino (deceased), Dennis Catino, Danielle Hollum, Christopher Catino (Davidson), and Christine Poluso (Paul); and a number of nephews and nieces and a wide circle of friends and chosen family who will remember him with love, honesty, and deep affection.

Jerry’s life reminds us that love is not measured by perfection, but by intention, sacrifice, and the courage to protect those we cherish most. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
