It is with deepest regret, we announce the passing of Javier Estremera, Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at UMass medical center where he was surrounded by his beloved family.
Jay was 58 and a resident of Millbury, MA. He graduated from Burncoat High School and was employed in the telecommunications industry, contracted to work at the US Naval Submarine Base in Groton, CT. Jay was born in Newark. NJ, one of four children of Francisco Cruz and Eduvigis Concepcion, before moving to Worcester, MA. Through his mother’s support and guidance, he developed a relationship with his church and served as an altar boy at St. Joan of Arc church. He was known for his friendly and caring manner. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need of help. Many of his niece’s and nephew’s considered him a father figure because of his support throughout the years.
He met Karen Robinson while employed at Edwards paint and decorating, they were married on May 1st 1999 and spent the next 26 years together raising a family in a loving, caring and compassionate environment. Javier is survived by his love, Karen; three children he was so devoted to, Monica Estremera of Worcester, Javier Estremera, Jr and Lee A. Estremera of Millbury; two brothers, George Estremera and his wife Maria of Worcester, Peter Estremera and his wife Debbie of North Carolina; two sisters, Magdalena Estremera Goodwin and her husband Anthony of W. Brookfield, and Graciela Estremera of Brookfield; his niece’s nephew’s, cousin’s, extended family and his in-laws Ronald (his confidant) and Catherine Robinson.
Javier devoted his brief life to his family and friends and was taken from us to early. Since getting his devastating diagnosis about 2 1/2 years ago, he continued to fight. His strength was an inspiration to us and we are grateful for the time we have had with him. When not working, Javier enjoyed watching sci fi & marvel movies, Anime, building computers, working on cars with his best friend and family.
