James F. Robinson, Sr.

James F. Robinson, Sr., 79 of Worcester, formerly of Charlton passed away Friday, November 8^th, 2019.

James was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Ernest J. and Margaret R. (Daley) Robinson.  He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade as a skilled machinist and accepted a position with Norton Company where he worked for over 40 years before retiring.  He served in the United States Army.  James's favorite activity was a good game of golf of which he enjoyed many days up at Green Hill Golf Course. He also played in many tournaments at Wachusett Country Club.  He also was a great fan and enjoyed watching and following all the New England Sports teams.

James is survived by his daughter, Lisa Cianci, her husband Michael and their daughter Gianna, all of Worcester, his son, James F. Robinson, Jr. of Jamaica Plain and granddaughter, Claudia Oliver of Wakefield; his former wife, Lillian M. Pascarelli of Worcester; his brother, Paul E. Robinson of Southport, NC; Several nieces and step children, Wayne, Gary, Randy, Lynn, and Sandra Grudzien, and their children;  A sister, Margaret R. McManus and his second wife Geraldine (Grudzien) Robinson also predeceased him.

Friends and relatives are invited to a period of calling hours Thursday, November 14^th from 9:30 am to 10:45 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel- Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. followed by his celebration of Christian burial Mass at 11:00 am.  Burial will be private.  In honor of James memory, a donation can be made in his name to Our Lady of Mt Carmel/Loreto Parish, 37 Massasoit Rd. 01604.  The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
