James D. Long, Sr.

James D. Long, Sr., of Boylston, passed way on Sunday, January 31, 2021.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Gloria; a son, James Jr.; a grandson, Justin, a granddaughter, Jillian; and a great granddaughter, Avyana; a brother, Paul; three sisters, Kathleen LaPerle, France Milionis, and Arlene Long; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Long Gould, and by two granddaughters, Kristen and Emily.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Edward and Marion (Kehoe) Long.

James was employed by the College of The Holy Cross for fifty-three years, retiring in 2010 as Superintendent of Grounds.

There are no calling hours

There will be a private Memorial Mass at a later date.
