James E. Flint of Worcester, Ma passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St Mary's Hospice Care in Worcester.
At the time of his death, James was a recovery support specialist for Catholic Charities working at The Crozier Recovery House for Men having previously worked for many years as an administrative assistant for APW in Worcester.
James was a proud member of Narcotics Anonymous and recently celebrated 28 years of recovery. He dedicated his life to helping those who needed guidance to this new way of living and was well known in the recovery community.
James, also known fondly as Wayne or Our Man, was a gentle being who inspired many by sharing his experience on how he changed his life around. He will always be remembered for his unconditional love and guidance, his card playing skills and his smooth way of doing The Cupid Shuffle. He enjoyed dancing, going to the movies, road trips, sports and clothes. James loved his family and close friends and enjoyed the special moments he shared with them.
Always the peacemaker, his favorite saying was " Can't we all just get along?"
James was born in Fairfax Alabama to the late Neal Johnson and Ruby Mae (Flint) Kinney.
James is survived by his daughter Asia M. Flint of Worcester, Ma, a son James E. Flint Jr and special friend Crystal Jones of Worcester, a step-daughter Tatiana M. Green of Brooklyn NY, three sisters Sarah A. Flint of Roxbury Ma, Priscilla E. Flint of Roslindale, Ma, and Lisa Kinney of Roslindale Ma: two brothers, Robert Kinney of Mattapan and Frank Kinney, Jr of Atlanta GA, his best friend Stacey Marshall of Worcester and many nieces, nephews cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his brother Kenneth Kinney.
The family would also like to acknowledge James' special friends who showed up whenever they were called upon during his illness: Samuel Green, Eric Burke, Malika Parham-Hill and Rosetta West!
Calling Hours and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 7, in Second Baptist Church, 14 Hammond Street, Worcester, with Calling Hours from 10:30 am until the Funeral Service begins at 12 Noon.
