Isabel "Bella" (Brescia) DiMauro

August 8, 1934 — June 15, 2022

Isabel “Bella” (Brescia) DiMauro, 87, of Worcester, formerly of Sterling and Leominster, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 15, 2022, after a period of declining health.

Bella was born in Worcester, the daughter of Francesco and Angelina (Capurso) Brescia. Raised in Worcester, she graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School. Bella then went on to work for many companies in the Plastics Industry in Leominster and Fitchburg before accepting a position with the Near East Foods Company from where she retired.

Bella was remarkably close to her family.  She is survived by a sister, Julia Ritacco, sister in law, Joyce DiRosa; many nieces and nephews including, her primary caretaker, Debra Perrone and her husband Vincent.  Her other nieces and nephews are:  Linda Charamella and her husband Stephen, Brenda O’Brien and her husband James, Denise Patnod and her husband, Franco DeAngeles, David Patnod and his fianceé Carolyn Moore, Vincent Brescia, Jr., Ronald Ritacco, Diane Patnod Mader and her husband Gregg, Gary Ritacco and Michael Hunter. Bella was also blessed with many grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, extended family and lifelong friends.  Her brother Vincent Brescia and sister Rose Patnod predeceased her in death.

Isabel was a member of the Maria SS Addolorata Society of the Men’s Biscegliese Society and an auxiliary member of the Knights of Columbus.  She was an avid bowler for many years in competitive leagues. Loved attending Church Bingo nights and going out “on the town” with her sisters and girlfriends to the “hopping” night spots like the “Cellar”, Wonderland, and Mosley’s dance clubs.  But some of her happiest and most joyous moments in life were when she hosted the annual family Thanksgiving celebration where she could showcase her culinary expertise. She also loved participating in family gatherings, holidays and special occasions.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to Bella’s personal care attendant Jane Trudeau and to the caring staff of the Lutheran Home.
