Listen to Obituary

Judy Feeny, born on June 25, 1941, to Ambrose and Dorothy (Mahoney) Griffiths, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

After graduating from Girls Catholic High School in Malden, Judy married Thomas P. Feeny, her best friend since the age of 14. She shared nearly 60 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Tom until his passing in 2020. Together, they built the foundation of a close and enduring family.

Judy was a loving and devoted mother to five children. She was predeceased by two sons, Kevin (2018) and Timothy (2025), and leaves behind her daughter, Kathleen and her husband, Robert Moon, daughter, Maureen and her husband, James Travers, Son, Sean Feeny and Daughter-In-Law, Heather Feeny. She was a proud grandmother to 8 grandchildren: Thomas Travers, Hunter Moon, Dalton James Moon, Aidan Moon, Kevin Feeny, Julia Feeny, Sean Feeny, Kayla Feeny and Dylan Feeny; a brother, David Griffiths; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother James Griffiths. As she committed to when marrying her husband almost 64 years ago, Judy would make her children and grandchildren central to her life. Each of them brought her immense pride and joy.

Once her children entered high school (all Irish twins, they were in high school at the same time – yikes!), Judy decided to enter the workplace where she worked for 20 years as a legal secretary. She worked for a number of attorneys and a number of law firms. She also worked at Digital Equipment Corporation and finished her working career at the Air National Guard at Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. In every workplace, Judy made many, many friends with whom she kept contact throughout her retirement.

Judy will be remembered for her kindness, her humor and unwavering dedication to her family. Her legacy will live on in all those who knew and loved her.
