Gina (Fiacco) Ceccarelli

Gina (Fiacco) Ceccarelli, eighty-one of Worcester passed away with her loved ones gathered at her side, Friday, August 12, 2022.

Gina was born in Frosinone, Italy the daughter of Antonio and Cesira (DeLuca) Fiacco. Raised in Frosinone, Gina married the love of her life, Gino on March 12, 1960, in Italy. With her husband and children, Gina immigrated to the United States and Worcester in 1970. She has lived here ever since.  Gina worked as a stitcher for several manufacturing companies in Worcester before retiring.

Gina’s husband, Gino passed away on May 26, 2015 after 55 years of dedication, devotion and love; She is survived by her three daughters, Angela Caputo and her husband Frank, Anna Grenier and her fiancée Michael Paldino all of Worcester, Franca Millette and her husband Brian of Millbury; two sisters, Filomena Fiacco and her husband Franco Greci, Giuliana Fiacco and her husband Franco Marini, and a sister in law, Antonella Ferrande all in Italy; seven grandchildren she cherished, Samantha Millette, Rebecca Richwine and her husband Drew, Frank Caputo, Jr, Michael Millette, Alyssa Caputo, Stephen and Isabella Grenier; Many nieces, nephews and extended family members. A brother, Mario Fiacco predeceased her.

Gina was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel/Loreto church. She enjoyed Gardening, Cooking, Baking and Crochet. She was the matriarch of her family, dedicated to its well being and success. The holidays, special occasions, and any time she could be with them, were the times she cherished the most.

A period of calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 16th from 9 am to 10:30 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St follow by a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd where her mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow in St John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas Street Worcester.
