Gary S. Guglielmello, 68, of Paxton, formerly a longtime resident of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at home.

Born and raised in Worcester's Shrewsbury Street neighborhood, Gary was a graduate of Saint John's High School and earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Nichols College, a school that remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Karen E. (Vinton) Guglielmello; his sons, Eric Guglielmello and his wife, Amari, of Worcester, and Kevin Guglielmello and his wife, Natalie, of Sutton; his daughter, Melissa Guglielmello-Dolan and her husband, Ryan, of Worcester; his sisters, Michelle Shea of Holden and Stephanie Venizelos and her husband, Steven, of Watertown; his cherished grandchildren, Mila and Eva Guglielmello, Jason Guglielmello, and Lainey Dolan; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Kathryn (Ventresca) Guglielmello Gartsu and Mitch Gartsu.

Gary was an owner and financial advisor at Archstone Financial and a member of the First Congregational Church in Paxton.

During nearly 40 years as a financial advisor, Gary encouraged clients to prioritize relationships and enjoy life's opportunities. He believed deeply in caring for others and treated clients and coworkers like family. His warmth, generosity, sense of humor, and ability to make people feel valued left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Above all, Gary was devoted to his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with those he loved, especially his grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and happiness.

Gary enjoyed watching sports, golfing, and searching for the perfect ice cream. He treasured lifelong friendships and looked forward to annual traditions such as Nichols Homecoming and annual gatherings with the Assumption Crew. Gary had a love of travelling with his wife and friends to new places. Wherever he went, Gary brought laughter, kindness, and an enthusiasm for life that drew people together.

Gary's legacy of love, friendship, generosity, and devotion to family will live on in the countless lives he touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
