Frederick Herman Geddes Jr.

Frederick Herman Geddes Jr, 79, of Worcester died peacefully Friday September 13, 2019 in St Vincent Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Frederick leaves his long time companion Theresa Ringgard, his daughter Julie Geddes of Worcester, his son’s Darren, and Michael Geddes of Worcester, Myles Geddes of Las Vegas, Ronnie Geddes of Boston, and Patrick Geddes of Worcester. He also leaves 2 sisters Beverly and Nevelle Geddes of Nova Scotia. Frederick was the proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  He also leaves several nephews and nieces. Frederick was predeceased by 3 sons Shawn, Michael and Frederick Geddes.

Frederick was born in Nova Scotia Canada son of the late Frederick Sr, and Frances (Ilene) Hill Geddes. He served in the Royal Canadian Army Corp for 3 years. He came to the United States many years ago. Frederick worked as a substance abuse Counselor at the Adcare Hospital for many years before he retired. He loved working and helping people at the Hospital and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Fredericks funeral will be held Friday Sept 20, 2019 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in the Church of St. Stephen 357 Grafton Street. Calling hours in the funeral home will be from 9:00AM to 10:30AM before leaving for Church. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
