Elvira (Amoruso) DiLiddo, 99, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved wife of the late, Maurice DiLiddo.

Born April 26, 1927, in New York City, New York, Elvira was the daughter of the late John and Felicita (Dente) Amoruso.

Elvira was, from a young age, very entrepreneurial; she had a curtain bustiness, restored furniture at the Worcester Center for Crafts, later becoming an interior decorator at Sears. She was a talented hairdresser, and accomplished seamstress. A bit later in life, she got involved with real estate and had properties in Las Vegas and was a home builder in Worcester, building homes around the UMass Medical School area.

She loved her family first and foremost. She created many delicious meals that her family raved about. She also kept herself educated and took Italian language classes well into her 90’s.

Elvira is survived by her loving daughters, Annette Mysliwiec of Worcester and Patricia DiLiddo of Las Vegas; her adored grandchildren, Michael Mysliwiec and his wife Catharine, Tina Nuzzolilo, and John Mysliwiec; her dear five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Sadly, in addition to her parents and beloved husband, Elvira was predeceased by her son, Maurice DiLiddo, Jr. in 1988, and by her five cherished siblings.

Services for Elvira will be held privately. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, are honored to assist the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elvira’s memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
