Elba (Santiago) Zayas

Elba (Santiago) Zayas, 70, of Worcester, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico on February 22, 1955, daughter of the late Juan Santiago Rosado and Maria R. Torres Santiago.

Elba is survived by her loving children, Erika Cintron and her husband Luis, Raul Zayas and his wife Loyda, Jasmin Zayas Perez and her husband Ariel, and Kenneth Zayas and his wife Cynthia; her adored grandchildren, Jeannece Vega Zayas, Jennifer Batista Zayas, Ariel A. Perez, Javier A. Perez, Gianna V. Zayas, Leanna C. Zayas, and Aiden J. Zayas; her dear great granddaughter, Ella R. Vega; her cherished siblings, Evelyn Santiago, Glenda Lee Santiago, and Edwin Santiago; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sadly, in addition to her parents, Elba was predeceased by her three brothers.

Calling hours and a Funeral Service will be held for Elba on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Elba will be laid to rest in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, gathering for procession to the cemetery from the funeral home will be from 9:00a.m. to 10:00a.m.
