Elaine M. (Nigro) DonFrancisco, 86, of West Boylston, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. She was the beloved wife of 41 years to the late James J. DonFrancisco who passed in 2009.

Elaine is survived by her loving brother, Michael Nigro of Alaska; and her cherished nieces Jorden Nigro, and Megan Nigro.

Born in Worcester on April 21, 1939, Elaine was the daughter of the late Henry and Marie (Cassone) Nigro. She was a graduate of the University of Connecticut where she obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy.

Elaine was an understated brilliant woman, never short of wit or tradition. A wonderful cook who loved a good meal and a good laugh with friends and family. She kept a beautiful home with her beloved late husband and her darling dogs. She was loved and appreciated by her community and family and will be missed dearly.

A Memorial Mass will be held for Elaine on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd, Worcester. Interment will be held privately in Worcester County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elaine’s memory to the Worcester County Humane Society.
