Edward Joseph Bennett II & Edward Joseph Bennett III

Edward Joseph Bennett II, 81, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026. He was the adoring husband of Antoinette Bennett, the true love of his life, and proud, loving father of Edward Joseph III. Ed also cared deeply for his extended family who were honored to call him uncle, Godfather and friend. As a Vietnam veteran he served his country with honor and exhibited the utmost respect and support for all veterans throughout his life. He loved wildlife, fishing and most of all Toni’s smile.

Edward Joseph Bennett III, 53, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on April 19, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Eddie was a devoted son who cherished his parents and he meant the world to them. Spending time with his parents and extended family was the happiest time for him, especially on holidays, enjoying good food, telling jokes and sharing lots of laughs. In his work life, he truly fulfilled his purpose of caring for and helping people through teaching and counseling. Eddie had a lifelong passion for American history and frequently enjoyed visiting presidential historical sites.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Ed and Eddie on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 11:00am in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11:30am. They will be laid to rest together immediately following services, at Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
