It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Donna M. (Shipulski) Reno, of Sutton on Friday, June 12th 2026, after a period of declining health, surrounded by the family she loved. Donna was 79 years old.
Donna was born in Worcester, the daughter of Leo and Constance “Connie” (Larinavich) Shipulski. She grew up in Worcester, graduated from the former Commerce High School, and earned her associate’s degree in medical studies from Quinsigamond Community College. While attending a dance at The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Recreation Center, she met Francis “Frank” Reno, fell in love, and were together for the past 65 years, 58 of which have been married, raising their family with love, dedication, faith and family in Sutton since October of 1970.
Donna is survived by her high school sweetheart and devoted husband Frank; three sons she was so proud of, Michael P. Reno of Worcester, Christopher S Reno and his wife Annalisa of Marblehead, Matthew J. Reno and daughter-in-law Heather of Myrtle Beach S.C.; her twin sister, Diane Shipulski of Shrewsbury; four grandchildren she cherished, Mia, Sidney, Madilyn and Ruby; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Donna was a member, volunteer, and lector of Saint Mark’s Church in Sutton. She was a New England sports enthusiast, always cheering for whichever New England Team was on TV, notably in attendance in Arizona when the New England Patriots beat the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 49 on her birthday. She lived life to the fullest, always enjoying family trips to York Beach, Maine and Myrtle Beach. She especially enjoyed her monthly dinners with her dearest friends from high school where they would reminisce about earlier days and share stories about their grandchildren. In Donna’s life nothing was more important than her family, her husband, sons and grandchildren and the greatest moments in her life were those spent with them.
A period of Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, June 17th from 9 am to 10:30am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester; then proceeding in procession to Saint Mark's Church, 356 Boston Road, Sutton where her celebration of Christian Burial Mass will be held at 11:30am. The Burial will follow in Howard Cemetery, Sutton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Our Lady of Hope, urban ministries.
