MILLBURY – Domenic DeCillis Jr. 66, of Millbury, passed away Friday, December 19th, 2025, with loved ones gathered at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Domenic was born in Worcester, to Domenico and Mary Ann (Ventura) DeCillis. He graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical High School with his GED and pursued an education in the plumbing field.
Domenic dedicated over 40 years to the plumbing trade. Starting with a wrench in his hand as an journey man plumber at Pattens Plumbing and Heating he worked his way through every level of the craft. His expertise and integrity eventually led him to serve as Chief Plumbing Inspector for The City of Worcester Inspectional Services Department, where he was a respected protector of public health and a mentor to many in the industry. He loved his job and the people he worked with.
Domenic was a dedicated and devoted father. He poured everything he had into his children and grandchildren. He loved listening to classic rock music. He was a huge fan of Frank Sinatra, Bon Jovi, The Eagles, and Boston. He loved taking his friends and family out to eat and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Domenic had a great sense of humor, and was always someone you could count on. He always provided sound advice to his friends and family and was always willing to give you the shirt off of his back. He will be missed immensely by everyone especially by his friends Mary Ann, Rebecca, Dave, Kurt, John, and Jimmy.
He is survived by his devoted daughters; Ashley Marie and Britaney Duddie, four granddaughters; Myleigh, Apryl, Aspen, and Annabelle, his brother Anthony, his sister Mary, and his grand dog Ella Rose. He is predeceased by his wife of 33 years Kathleen DeCillis, who passed away in 2019.
Domenic’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all of the doctors, nurses, and staff at the UMass Memorial Medical Center Cancer Center with special acknowledgments to Dr Jan Cerny and Nurse Kate and Nurse Angela in the ICU for the exceptional care they provided.
