Dib Y. Korio

Dib Y. Korio 75, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2024 at The Hermitage Healthcare in Worcester, MA.

Dib was born on February 15, 1949 in Al-Hasakah, Syria, a son of the late Yousef and Fahima (Kolo) Korio. He worked in the maintenance Department at UMass Medical Center for many years. Dib was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s Syriac Orthodox Church in Shrewsbury.

Dib’s beloved wife, Catherine E. (Courtney) Korio, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011. He leaves behind his brothers, George Korio of California, Subhi Korio of Tampa, FL, and a sister, Emilene Zoghbi of Worcester; a cousin, Joseph Chalino of Shrewsbury; several beloved nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three brothers, Jabra, Said and Sabri Korio and a sister, Rosa Korio as well as three beloved cousins, George Youssef, Malki Yousef and Dr. Jibrayil Yusuf.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 5-8 pm and his funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 29th at 11:00 am both held in St. Mary’s Syriac Orthodox Church, 1 Industrial Dr., Shrewsbury.
