Diane Arachikavitz

Diane Arachikavitz, 68, of Worcester, MA passed away at her residence on August 2, 2022. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Algird and Stella (Lelakis) Zilinsky; loving mother of Taylor Arachikavitz and his fiancé Samantha Viegas of Worcester; cherished sister of Thomas Zilinsky and his wife Paulette of Southbridge; beloved aunt of Matthew Zilinsky and his wife Bailey of Southbridge and their children Madelyn, who Diane always called her angel baby, and Benjamin, both with whom she shared a special and loving bond; treasured niece of Pauline Dell’Olio and Helen Zelesky. Along with her parents, Diane was preceded in death by two aunts, Phyllis Morin and Josephine Posterro.

Diane lived a vibrant life filled with love and adventure.  Her loving and energetic disposition gained her many friends over the years. From her colleagues at Digital, where she was a longtime employee trainer and National Grid, where she was working at the time of her passing, to a large circle of friends and family near and far from every facet of her life, she was described as having the “biggest heart ever.”  She was an avid reader and loved trips to Maine, visiting casinos, playing bingo and scratch tickets. 

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, August 9 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 10 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Our Lady of Loreto Parish, 33 Massasoit Rd, Worcester, followed by burial in St. John’s Cemetery & Mausoleum, Worcester.
