David R. Mercier

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David R. Mercier, who passed away on August 1, 2026 at the age of 59. Born on February 4, 1967 in Leominster, Massachusetts, David was the beloved son of the late George Mercier and Janet (Langevin) Mercier.

David was the devoted husband of Ann (Lemay) Mercier. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering support for one another.

He leaves behind his loving children: Dr. Timothy Mercier, DMD, and his significant other, Dr. Rubee Sandhu, DMD; Kevin Mercier and his fiancée, Alyssa Whitley; and Brian Mercier and his significant other, Isabella Keyes. He is also survived by his brother, Steven Mercier and his significant other Jennifer Novak; his sisters, Joan Mercier and Gail Mercier; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

David dedicated his career to Reliant Medical Group, where he worked for 30 years. Those who worked alongside him knew him as a person of integrity, kindness, and generosity.

Outside of work, David found joy in coaching his sons sports teams, fishing, golfing, cheering on the men’s hockey team at the College of the Holy Cross, and following Boston sports teams. He especially treasured time spent with his family and took great pride in watching his sons grow and achieve their dreams. His greatest accomplishment was the love he shared with those closest to him.

David will be remembered for his warm heart, quiet strength, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to his family. His kindness touched everyone who knew him, and the memories he created will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him. Though he leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, his love and legacy will live on forever.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. David's funeral service will be private.
