David J. DiRocco, 73, a lifelong resident of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep Saturday, March 28th 2026.
David was born in Worcester, the son of the late Salvatore “Sal” and Helen P. (Hegger) DiRocco. Raised here in Worcester, David graduated from North High School. David managed many local night clubs and as a gifted musician, who could play several instruments, was a touring member of several established bands, entertaining patrons at many night spots.
David is survived by a sister, Judith Ann Roy and her husband, Roger of Millbury; his best friend Joseph D’Angelo; a niece, Carol Ann Uhrain and her husband Chris, nephew, David M. Roy and his fiancée Michelle Gesuse; great nephews and niece; Aunts, Uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
David, was extremely intelligent with many talents. In addition to playing several musical instruments, he also enjoyed Arts, crafts, Photography, and several other interests.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately. There are no calling hours. Memorial remembrances in his name can be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, 831 Main St Worcester, MA 01608. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family once more.
