Christine Clare (Collins) Cormier

Christine Clare (Collins) Cormier, 62, of Charlton, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. 

Christine is survived by her beloved husband, Stephen Cormier of Charlton; her devoted children, Elizabeth Conway of Newport RI, Kevin Conway of Cambridge, MA, and Danielle Bonzey of Dudley, MA; her loving siblings, her grandson Lincoln, and many nieces and nephews. Born on May 29, 1963, in Weymouth, MA, Christine was the daughter of Richard W. and Clare M. (Nicholson) Collins. She dedicated over 20 years to teaching both high school and college students. 

Christine’s passion for education, Women’s Studies, the arts, and lifelong learning ran deep. She earned her PhD in Transformative Studies and was a gifted writer, with several of her works published in esteemed literary journals. Christine cherished her role as an educator, treating every student she taught with the same care and devotion as if they were her own. When she wasn’t in the classroom, Christine expressed her creativity through art. With a paintbrush in hand, she brought beauty to life in watercolor, drawing, and felting. More recently, she discovered a love for knitting, always eager to create something meaningful and to share her artistic spirit with those around her. 

Beyond her professional and creative pursuits, Christine treasured her time with family. She delighted in dancing in the kitchen with Stephen, and watching football games together, and savoring life’s simple joys. She adored playing and drawing with her grandson, Lincoln, and sharing shopping trips and fashion conversations with Elizabeth. Christine never missed an opportunity to express how deeply proud she was of Kevin, and she spoke of her love for her children whenever she could. Her intelligence, creativity, and boundless love left a lasting impact on all who knew her. 

Christine was deeply loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her. 

Graveside services will be held for Christine at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Christine's memory to The Joseph and Shirley Krosoczka Memorial Youth Scholarship Fund helps support art education for youth at the Worcester Art Museum.
