Christine “Chris” E. (Lajoie) Bisceglia, 74, of Dudley, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Chris lived a life defined by love, generosity, and selflessness. Her warmth, kindness, and compassion touched everyone she met, and she had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen, valued, and loved.

Chris was born in Worcester, the daughter of Emile and Joan (Bailey) Lajoie. She grew up in West Boylston and graduated from West Boylston High School. Later in life, she earned her associate’s degree from Quinsigamond Community College before receiving her Paralegal Certification from Newbury College.

She married her beloved husband, Kenneth Bisceglia, in 1973. Together they built a life rooted in love, devotion, and family, raising their two daughters during 50 wonderful years in Shrewsbury before moving to Dudley three years ago.

Throughout her career, Chris worked as a Legal Secretary and Paralegal for several local law firms before joining Reliant Medical Group, where she worked in the Risk Management Department until retiring in 2018.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of more than 53 years, Ken; their two daughters, Gina M. Driscoll and her husband Joshua of North Reading, and Angela M. Hughes and her husband Riley of Bellingham; her four cherished grandchildren, Adrianna, Colin, Jocelyn, and Julia, who brought her immeasurable joy; her sisters and dearest friends, Susan Levins and Kathleen Lajoie; her brother, John Lajoie, all of Worcester; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Brian Lajoie.

Chris was the heart of her family. She had an extraordinary gift for making others feel loved, valued, and cared for. Her kindness wasn't reserved for those closest to her; it extended to everyone she met. Whether she was complimenting a stranger in the grocery store, taking a genuine interest in her nurses and quickly turning them into friends, or reassuring her loved ones so they wouldn't worry about her, Chris's first thought was always of someone else. Even during her hardest days, she never wanted the focus to be on herself. Instead, her greatest concern was the impact on those around her and how she could ease their hearts, lift their spirits, and make them smile. To know Chris was truly to love her. She had a rare way of making everyone she met feel like they mattered.

She believed life's greatest joy came from bringing people together. Family was at the center of everything she did. She treasured attending her children's and grandchildren's activities and delighted in creating traditions and celebrations that became lifelong memories. From elaborate Halloween festivities and annual gingerbread house decorating days to simple afternoons spent crafting together, she poured her creativity and love into every moment. She was the consummate party and holiday planner, thoughtfully attending to every last detail, not for recognition, but because she found so much happiness in creating joy for others.

A gifted artist, Chris found great joy in painting and crocheting, taking classes after retirement simply to continue learning and refining her talents. She lovingly created either a handmade blanket or a painting for each of her grandchildren, gifts they will treasure for the rest of their lives.

Known to many as "The Flower Lady," Chris shared a special passion for gardening and floral design. Together, she and Ken spent countless hours creating and tending their beautiful flower gardens. Her love of flowers eventually led her to become a certified florist, and friends and family were often surprised with stunning floral arrangements, whether for life's biggest celebrations or simply just because.

Following her cancer diagnosis, Chris approached life with remarkable grace and intention. Rather than allowing her diagnosis to define her, she embraced every opportunity to create lasting memories with the people she loved most. She fulfilled lifelong dreams of traveling to Italy with Ken and her daughters, experienced the magic of Disney at Christmastime with her beloved grandchildren, and continued filling her days with family, laughter, creativity, and love. She truly lived each day to the fullest, reminding everyone around her what it means to cherish the moments and the people that matter most.

Chris will be profoundly missed. She lived a life defined not by what she accomplished for herself, but by how deeply she loved and cared for others. The love she gave so freely, the joy she created, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met will remain her greatest legacy. The world is brighter because she was in it, and her love will continue to shine through the family and friends who were blessed to know her.
