MILLBURY – Charlotte M. (Aboody) Stockhaus, 91, a longtime resident of Millbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, Wednesday, April 22, 2026. She is reunited in heaven with her husband of 43 years, C. Richard “Dick'' Stockhaus, who passed away March 31, 2000.

Charlotte was born in Worcester, one of 9 children of Lebanese immigrants, Salem and Rose (Halal) Aboody. Raised in Worcester, She married, the “Love of her life” Dick Stockhaus in 1957, six years later, they built a home in Millbury raising their family with love, faith and family until Dick left her side. She continued to live in her home until recently. Charlotte worked as a dental assistant in the Memorial Hospital Dental Clinic in the early sixties. She also worked for a period of time in her cousin’s Family Bakery making Syrian bread. The final 18 years of her career were spent as a sales associate for the former Sears, Roebuck Company before retiring in 1994."

Charlotte is survived by, her devoted three sons, Richard C. Stockhaus and his wife Michele of Woonsocket, RI, Steven R. Stockhaus and his wife, Gayle of Readfield, Maine, Nicholas W. Stockhaus, and his wife LoriAnn of Millbury; eight grandchildren, Tori, Cassie, Cody, Tyler, Ashley-Lynn, Robert, Jaimie, and Matt; five great grandchildren, Caleb, Lavender, Aurora, Caiden, and Olivia; Many nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband Richard, eight siblings predeceased her.

Charlotte was a devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and the Lions club of Millbury. She enjoyed, lunches with friends, travel with Dick notably, to Turkey, Jordan, and Israel among others, cruises, music, and cooking. She loved to prepare her Lebanese specialties for her family and anyone who happened to stop by. Her greatest moments in life were those spent with her family, during holidays, family dinners or special occasions.

Friends, and relatives are invited to gather for calling hours, Monday, April 27th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 28th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 256 Hamilton St., where Rev. Bryan McNeil with celebrate her funeral service at 10 am Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in her name can be made to the Notre Dame Long-Term Care Center, 559 Plantation St Worcester or the Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, 114 16th Street #2006, Charlestown, Ma 02129. “May her Memory be eternal”
