Worcester- Charlotte M. (Murray) Notarangelo, a lifelong Worcester resident, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026 just shy of her 97th birthday on April 9th at the Jewish Healthcare Center. She is welcomed in heaven into the arms of the “Love of her life” and husband of 58 years Ralph J. Notarangelo who passed away in 2015.
Charlotte leaves behind her loving daughter, Janet Mancuso and her husband Peter of Shrewsbury; three adoring grandchildren: Jason Mancuso and his wife Careen of West Roxbury, Peter Mancuso, his wife Felicia and their son Caden of Worcester, Gianna Griffen, and her husband Brian of Stoneham; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her husband Ralph and parents, her sisters: Pauline McHugh, Carol Naughton, Ann Sullivan and brother Charles Murray, also predeceased her.
Charlotte was born in Worcester, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Murray) Murray. She graduated from North High School in 1947 and has lived in Worcester her entire life. After high school Charlotte worked for Wyman-Gordan Company until the birth of her daughter. She then became a homemaker and book keeper for her husband's business, Ralph’s Electric. Charlotte returned to work outside of the home in 1972 for the City of Worcester, in the cafeteria at Gage Street School. She truly loved this job and interacting with all the students. In 1989, Charlotte retired to help take care of her grandchildren.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish/ Our Lady of Loreto Church, its Golden Years, and Women’s Guild.
Charlotte's greatest joys in life were spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her greatest moments were spent with them attending all of their sporting events and activities, and would frequently chauffer them around to various friends' homes as well as entertain them and their friends. Before her grandchildren were born, Charlotte assisted her sisters with taking care of the many nieces and nephews. Charlotte also enjoyed baking, playing board games and traveling with friends.
Charlotte's family wishes to thank the entire staff at The Jewish Healthcare Center for the care, comfort and compassion they gave to our mother.
