Charles J. Cerrone, Jr.

Charles J. Cerrone, Jr., 76, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Saint Vincent Hospital.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Carol (Carney) Cataldo; a sister, Anne Gerard; three stepchildren, Nikki Cataldo, Erin McDonnell and her husband Jason, and Ashley Cataldo, all of Worcester; two step grandchildren, JJ and Violet McDonnell; and a nephew John Gerard.  He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Cerrone and by a nephew, Steven Gerard.  Charles was born in Worcester, son of the late Charles J. Sr. and Florence H. (Miller) Cerrone.  He graduated from Worcester South High School and has lived in Worcester most of his life, apart from several years living in Florida, before returning to Worcester.

Charles worked as an environmental police officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years, before retiring.  He successfully showed Quarter Horses competitively for many years and earned an impressive collection of trophies and blue ribbons.  He also enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and the special times spent with Carol and his family.

Services are being held privately.
