Carolyn was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester, MA. She initially worked in the banking industry for a number of years and then had a lengthy career as the elected Town Treasurer for the Town of Boylston from March 1969 through June 1988.
Carolyn and her husband, Bill, built a beautiful log cabin in Boylston where they settled and raised their family. Carolyn was a devoted mother and loved working in her beautiful perennial gardens. Carolyn also delivered Meals on Wheels in Boylston for over 20 years and was very involved with the Worcester Swim Club. She was also a member of the First Congregational Church of Boylston and enjoyed square dancing with her husband for many years at Bay Path Barn in Boylston.
Carolyn’s biggest passions in life were her husband, her family, her home, gardening and traveling. She loved the home they had created and over the 64 years Carolyn along with Bill continued to make improvements to their beautiful home and gorgeous gardens. As a family, they camped all over the United States and took many ski trips together in the Northeast. Later, Carolyn and Bill started traveling internationally covering Canada, Mexico and Europe. During the Millennium, one of her favorite trips was a 120-day cruise ship trip around the world.
In lieu of flowers, and because Carolyn loved her perennial gardens so much, please consider planting a plant or tree in her memory.
