Caroline M. Sullivan

November 27, 1963 — August 26, 2023

Caroline M. Sullivan, 59, of Worcester, passed away in the comfort of her home on Saturday, August 26, 2023, surrounded by love.

Caroline was predeceased by her parents, John F. and Ann (Kawcab) Sullivan, and by her brother, John P. Sullivan.  

Caroline is survived by cherished cousins, who were more like big sisters, Diane Lizewski, Carolyn Moore, and Elaine Galvin.  She is also survived by three God Children, Michael, Patrick, and Nicole.  She had many second cousins that looked up to her for love, wisdom, support, and lots of fun.  She also leaves her “family” of co-workers, and friends.

Caroline grew up in Worcester and graduated from South High.  She later graduated from Worcester State University with her Bachelor of Science Degree.  She worked tirelessly for thirty-five years with Elder Services of Worcester, where she was considered a mentor and problem solver to many of her co-workers. She was a member of the City of Worcester Commission on Elder Affairs.  She was a recipient of the Action Hero Award from the Worcester Community Action Council.

Caroline enjoyed reading, going to Hampton Beach, tennis, and gardening.  She has a special love for her cats Trixie and Lucas, and always had two at the same time.  

Caroline was a kind, generous, and compassionate woman, who was considered family by many.  Always enjoying holidays, birthdays, family parties, and Sunday dinners.  She will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.

Family and Friends will gather on Friday morning, September 1, from 10 a.m. until a Prayer Service begins at 11 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  Interment with her parents and brother will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
