Carol E. Fazio

Carol E. (Patnod) Fazio, 93, of Worcester passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023. Born in Worcester on December 4, 1929, to Earle and Beatrice (Vickstrom) Patnod.  She was the beloved wife of the late, Anthony J Fazio Jr., for 35 years. Carol is survived by her loving daughter, Cindy Lee of Worcester; her adored grandchildren, Lisa Lee and her partner Jonathan Locantore of Worcester, and Anthony J. Liu of Worcester; her cherished great grandchildren, Ethan A. and Nicholas J. Locantore; her siblings Richard Patnod of Worcester and Patricia E. Cestodio and her partner John Ng of West Boylston; nieces, nephews, and extended family. Carol was predeceased by her brothers William, Donald, Robert, and David Patnod.

Carol worked at Worcester Envelope Company. She married in 1953 and soon became a homemaker. After raising her family, she helped raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She made the best macaroni & cheese and brownies.  Always present and ready to lend a hand when needed. She loved spending time with her sister Patty, the Cape, decorating for the holidays, going putzing around in the shops and watching the Red Sox. 

The family would like to thank SALMON VNA & Hospice, especially Ann, Melinda and Kelly, for their care and compassion. Carol enjoyed her weekly visits from her girlfriends. 

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 9:30am to 11:00am at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPLE, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am in the funeral home with interment immediately following at Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
