Carmen M. Lopez Perez, 72, of Webster, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, on July 31, 1952, she was the cherished daughter of Cecilia Perez and the late Alcides Lopez.
Carmen dedicated many years of service as a payroll clerk at UMass Memorial Medical Center, where her kindness and dedication touched the lives of many. She was a woman of remarkable warmth, strength, and love, the foundation and glue that held her family together.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who treasured time with her loved ones. Carmen shared 45 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Hector L. Rosario. She leaves behind two loving daughters, Jaratzed Sanchez and Karlene Rosario; her beloved brother, William Lopez; three adored grandchildren, Justice, Faith, and Aiden; her cherished great-grandson, Enzo; her nieces; Vanessa, Natasha, Isis, Monique and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Alcides Lopez, and a granddaughter, Destiny.
Carmen found joy in life’s simple pleasures of traveling, playing bingo, getting her nails done, listening to festival music, and caring for her mother. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, who meant the world to her.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, August 5, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 6, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, 228 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
Carmen’s legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
