Brian M. Moquin Sr. of Millbury, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Worcester and raised in Millbury, the son of the late Walter J. Moquin Sr. and Elsie M. (Gremo) Moquin. 

Brian is survived by his devoted fiancée, Lynne Puzar of Millbury; his two daughters, Brianna M. Mendez of Millbury and Erica M. Beahn of Snow Hill, North Carolina; his two granddaughters, Dajah M. Yelverton and Olyviah K. Pearson; and his great-grandson, Kasen K. Yelverton. He also leaves his beloved sister, Sheila A. Dezotell of Millbury, and his brother, Walter J. Moquin Jr. and his wife, Karin, of Oxford. In addition, he is survived by several cherished nieces and nephews—Rose A. Finne, Lindsey M. Dezotell, Ashley M. Bessette, Jason W. Dezotell, Kaitlin Moquin, and Benjamin Moquin—as well as his great-nieces and great-nephew, Gianna R. Muriuki, Anthony Bessette, and Colby E. Dezotell.

He was predeceased by his son and hero, Pfc. Brian M. Moquin Jr., who was killed in action in 2006 while serving in the United States Army, and by his sister, Paula A. Ward.

Brian was a devoted family man who brought joy, laughter, and warmth to those around him. Following in his mother’s footsteps, he developed a passion for the culinary arts and became a trained chef. He also enjoyed sports, dogs, cars, and motorcycles, and treasured the time he spent with his loved ones.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel is honored to assist the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to K9s For Warriors.
