Brenda Lee Gerardi Guzzi, 82, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loving family.
Brenda is the daughter of the late, William “Willow” and Mary (Bronzo) Gerardi. Brenda is survived by her loving husband of thirty-five years, Richard W. Guzzi; a brother, William “Bill” Gerardi and his wife Diane of Portsmouth, RI and their children, Emily, Michael, and Lisa; two sisters, Marueen Gerardi of South Grafton and Lois Gerardi Lammi and her husband Allan of West Boylston, and their son, Brad Lammi and his wife Ashley of Louisville, KY, and their children, Adeline and Benjamin.
Brenda’s life was also enriched with four loving step-sons, David and Amy of Bolton, Paul and Christine of Millis, Steven and Patricia McKay of Medway, and Gary and Vanessa Guzzi of Coral Gables, FL; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Tyler, Carter (stationed in Poland), Hannah and her husband Nicholas DiStefano, and their daughter, Noelle, Dante, Mikayla, Mario, and Leo Guzzi.
Brenda graduated from St. Joseph’s College in Maine with a degree in education and received a Master’s Degree in urban education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Brenda was an elementary school teacher for the City of Worcester for over thirty-five years, specializing in teaching math and reading.
Brenda was not only blessed with a loving family, but a great many friends as well, who meant the world to her. She became very close to a wonderful group of women from the YWCA where she swam.
She also traveled extensively with her husband and another group of friends to many places around the world. Brenda lived an adventurous life, having visited six continents over her lifetime. She enjoyed reading, dining out, and a good bowl of ice cream.
Those who knew Brenda will remember her as an amazing, strong, and loving woman who touched the lives of everyone she met.
She will be deeply missed by all.
The family would like to thank the VNA Hospice nurses and staff, whose kindness and support was very much appreciated. They would also like to thank Amada Senior Care for their loving and supportive staff members.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, February 16, from 10 am until her Funeral Service begins at 12 Noon in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
